Chris was born in Winsdor Ont. In '68 He grew up riding both bicycles and motocross. He started racing bmx at age 8, and raced motocross and 1/4 mile (in Michigan) from ages 17 to 23. To support his racing habit Chris worked in shops as a teen, and even taught a bike mechanics course at a high school. When Chris saw the early North Shore extreme mountain bike movies, he was so inspired by Wade Simmons and Brett Tippie, that he had to come see BC for himself. Once he got here, he knew this was the place he wanted top be, and he soon moved west and got a job at Cove Bikes. Within a few years, Chris got a job at the Rocky Mountain factory and ran the wheel tech line. All this time though, he had dreams of owning his own bike shop, and in late 2004 he made this dream come true. That¹s when NO HYPE came to life.
